Are you settling for less?

According to a recent survey conducted by The Conference Board, more than half of all individuals are dissatisfied with their jobs. Another similar survey, conducted by careerbuilder.com uncovered that 4 out of 5 workers do not have their dream jobs. Shouldn’t the place where we spend most of our waking hours be defined as a labor of love, rather then a place of discontentment? And yet, most people admit that they are unhappy with where they are in terms of what they do for a living. Just imagine, having to get up every morning to a job or a place you don’t like.

Is that the way to live? What about your finances, your relationships, your health, your education, your life style, and your overall sense of inner-fulfillment? Are there some pieces missing in your life and in your career? Are you living an existence of quiet desperation? – Or perhaps just comfortable numb, simply going through the motions?

Isn’t it time to move beyond self-imposed barriers and limitations and the live life for which God has designed you to live? To be fully you, to a live a life that is passionate and whole. And so the question becomes, what are your dreams and passions?! What would you do, if you knew you could not fail?
If you are able to answer this question or at the very least have a desire to do so then you have arrived at a very critical point in your journey towards self-awareness and the achievement of your fullest potential.
